Before & After Service Care
Everything you need to know before and after your appointment. Prep the right way, heal beautifully, and keep your results looking their best for as long as possible.
Before & After Care
Lash Extensions
A little prep before your appointment sets you up for the best results. Follow the pre-care tips below, then use the aftercare guide to keep your extensions looking beautiful for as long as possible.
Prep Checklist
These steps help your lash artist work efficiently and give you the longest-lasting set.
- ✓Come with a clean face — no eye makeup, mascara, or eyeliner. This helps the adhesive bond properly.
- ✓Avoid curling your natural lashes before your appointment.
- ✓Skip caffeine and stimulants beforehand — they can make your eyes twitch and increase sensitivity.
- ✓Remove contact lenses before your appointment (bring your case and glasses if needed).
- ✓Avoid using oil-based skincare products around the eye area the day of your appointment.
- ✓If you have sensitive eyes, avoid rubbing or touching them before your session.
- ✓Shower beforehand — you'll need to keep your lashes dry for the first 24 hours after.
First 24 Hours
The adhesive needs time to fully cure. These first-day rules make a big difference.
- !Keep lashes completely dry — no water, steam, or sweat on the eye area.
- !Avoid touching, rubbing, or pulling at your extensions.
- !Sleep on your back if possible to prevent crushing the lashes.
- !Skip eye makeup (mascara, liner, shadow) for the first day.
Ongoing Care
These daily habits will keep your extensions looking fresh between fills.
Cleanse daily
Use a lash-safe, oil-free cleanser to gently wash your lashes every day. Clean lashes last longer and stay healthier.
Brush gently
Use a clean spoolie to brush through your lashes each morning. This keeps them neat and prevents tangling.
Avoid oil-based products
Oil breaks down lash adhesive. Choose oil-free makeup remover, moisturizer, and sunscreen around the eye area.
Skip waterproof mascara
Waterproof formulas require oil-based removers that weaken the bond. If you want extra volume, ask about a volume fill instead.
Be gentle with towels
Pat (don't rub) your face dry after washing. Rubbing can pull extensions loose.
Book fills on schedule
Regular fills keep your set looking full. Your natural lashes shed on a cycle — fills replace what's been lost.
Things to Avoid
- !Eyelash curlers (they can snap extensions)
- !Excessive heat (ovens, grills, open flames near face)
- !Picking or pulling at lashes
- !Sleeping face-down regularly
- !Cotton pads on the lash line (fibers snag)

First 10 Days
This is the most critical healing window. Following these rules closely will give you the best color retention and crispest strokes.
- !Don't get the brow area wet for the first 10 days — avoid direct water, steam, and sweat.
- !Don't touch, pick, or scratch the treated area. Let any flaking happen naturally.
- !Avoid makeup, creams, and serums on or near the brows.
- !Skip workouts, saunas, swimming, and hot tubs.
- !Stay out of direct sunlight — no tanning beds either.
- !Sleep on your back to avoid pressing on your brows.
What to Expect (Healing Timeline)
Your brows will change a lot during healing — this is normal. Here's a week-by-week guide so you know what's coming.
Days 1–3: Bold & dark
Your brows will look darker and bolder than the final result. This is completely normal — the color will soften significantly as they heal.
Days 4–7: Flaking & itching
The treated area may start to flake and feel itchy. Don't pick or scratch — let the skin shed naturally. The color may look patchy during this phase.
Days 7–14: Color fading
The color will lighten and may seem like it's disappearing. This is part of the process. The true color will emerge over the next few weeks.
Weeks 4–6: Final result
Your brows will settle into their true color and shape. This is when you'll see the final result and can assess if a touch-up is needed.
Long-Term Care
Once healed, these habits will keep your microblading looking sharp for as long as possible.
Apply SPF daily
Sun exposure fades microblading pigment faster than anything else. Use sunscreen on your brows every day, even on cloudy days.
Avoid exfoliants on brows
Retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and chemical peels accelerate pigment fading. Keep these products away from the brow area.
Moisturize gently
After fully healed, keeping the brow area moisturized helps maintain the look. Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.
Book your touch-ups
Monthly touch-ups in the first year help perfect the shape and color. After that, an annual touch-up keeps everything looking fresh.
About Touch-Ups
- !Monthly Touch-Up: Recommended during the first year to perfect stroke definition, fill any gaps from healing, and adjust the shape or color as needed.
- !Annual Touch-Up: After the first year, an annual session refreshes the pigment and keeps your brows looking crisp. Pigment naturally fades over time, especially with sun exposure.
Before & After Care
Waxing
A little prep before your appointment goes a long way. Follow the pre-care tips below, then use the aftercare guide to heal smoothly and keep your skin happy.
Prep Checklist
These simple steps help you get the smoothest results and the most comfortable experience.
- ✓Avoid retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and exfoliating products on the area for at least 3–5 days before your appointment.
- ✓Don't shave or trim the area — hair should be about a grain-of-rice length for the best results.
- ✓Skip tanning (including self-tanner) for at least 48 hours before your appointment.
- ✓Avoid caffeine and stimulants right before your session — they can make the skin more sensitive.
- ✓Gently exfoliate the area 1–2 days before (not the day of) to help remove dead skin and reduce the chance of ingrown hairs.
- ✓Come with clean, product-free skin on the area being waxed — no heavy lotions, oils, or makeup.
First 5 Days
The first few days are critical for healing. Follow each step carefully.
- !Avoid applying makeup on the treated area for the first 3 days to reduce the risk of irritation.
- !Gently cleanse the area with a mild, non-irritating cleanser — avoid scrubbing.
- !Apply Vitamin E oil during the day to keep the skin hydrated and prevent dryness.
- !Avoid touching the freshly waxed area — use clean hands when applying any product.
- !In the evening, apply Manuka Honey, Bio-Oil, or a soothing antibacterial cream.
- !Sleep on your back and change your pillowcase to keep the area clean overnight.
Ongoing Care
Once the initial healing phase is over, continue with these habits.
Keep applying healing oils
Continue using Vitamin E oil or similar nourishing oils to support healthy skin as it heals.
Apply SPF daily
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) with a non-perfumed, gentle formula to protect against pigmentation and UV damage.
Avoid scented products
Fragranced products can irritate sensitive skin and delay healing. Stick to gentle, fragrance-free formulas.
Skip excessive heat
Avoid hot showers, saunas, and vigorous exercise in the first few days — heat can increase inflammation and irritation.
Things to Avoid
- !Scented or fragranced products near the treated area
- !Excessive heat or sweating (hot showers, saunas, vigorous exercise)
- !Rubbing or scrubbing the waxed area
- !Using makeup brushes or tools on the area (bacteria risk)
- !Exfoliants or harsh cleansers near the treated skin
When to Seek Help
- !If you experience significant discomfort, swelling, or any other concerning symptoms, seek medical assistance right away to ensure proper care.
Before & After Care
Brow Lamination & Tint
A little prep before your appointment helps the lamination solution work its best. Follow the pre-care tips below, then use the aftercare guide to keep your brows looking sculpted and polished.
Prep Checklist
These steps help your brow artist get the best results from your lamination and tint.
- ✓Come with clean brows — no brow makeup, pencils, gels, or pomades. This helps the lamination solution absorb evenly.
- ✓Avoid tweezing, threading, or waxing your brows for at least 3 days before your appointment.
- ✓Skip retinol, AHAs, and exfoliating products around the brow area for 48 hours beforehand.
- ✓Do not apply heavy moisturizers or oils to the brow area the day of your appointment.
- ✓If you have any skin irritation, cuts, or sunburn near the brow area, let your artist know before the session.
- ✓Remove any brow tint or henna at least 2 weeks before lamination for best results.
First 24 Hours
The treatment needs time to fully set. These first-day rules make a big difference.
- !Keep brows dry for at least 24 hours — avoid getting the brow area wet.
- !Don't touch or rub the brow area.
- !Avoid applying makeup to the brow area.
- !Skip direct sun exposure on the brow area.
- !Sleep on your back if possible to avoid pressing the brows out of shape.
After Brow Lamination
Simple habits to keep your lamination looking lifted and polished.
Brush into place
Use a clean spoolie to brush your brows into the desired shape each morning while they're still slightly damp.
Nourish with oil
After the first 24 hours, apply a small amount of brow oil or castor oil nightly to keep hairs conditioned.
Avoid heavy products
Skip thick brow gels or pomades for the first few days. Let the lamination do the work.
After Brow Tint
These extra tips help the color last as long as possible.
Avoid cleansers on brows
For the first 24 hours, keep cleansers and makeup removers away from the tinted area to let the color set.
Oil-free zone
Oil-based products can fade the tint faster. Use oil-free moisturizer and sunscreen near the brows.
Sun protection
UV exposure fades tint over time. A hat or SPF on the brow area helps your color last.
Things to Avoid
- !Getting the brow area wet for the first 24 hours
- !Heavy brow gels or pomades in the first few days
- !Oil-based products near the brows (fades tint faster)
- !Rubbing or touching the brow area unnecessarily
- !Direct sun exposure without protection
- !Exfoliating products near the brows for 48 hours after
Before & After Care
Korean Lash Lift + Tint
A little prep goes a long way. Follow the pre-care tips to set yourself up for the best lift, then use the aftercare guide to keep your curl looking fresh for weeks.
Prep Checklist
These steps help your lash artist get the cleanest lift and longest-lasting results.
- ✓Come with clean eyes — no eye makeup, mascara, or eyeliner. This helps the lifting solution adhere properly to your natural lashes.
- ✓Remove contact lenses before your appointment (bring your case and glasses if needed).
- ✓Avoid using an eyelash curler for at least 24 hours before your session.
- ✓Skip oil-based skincare products around the eye area the day of your appointment.
- ✓If you have any eye irritation, styes, or infections, reschedule until they have fully healed.
- ✓Avoid caffeine and stimulants beforehand — they can make your eyes twitch during the treatment.
- ✓Do not use waterproof mascara for at least 48 hours before your appointment (residue is hard to fully remove and can interfere with the lift).
First 24 Hours
The lift solution needs time to set. Follow these rules for the best results.
- !Keep lashes dry — no water, steam, or sweat on the eye area for 24 hours.
- !Don't rub or touch your eyes.
- !Avoid mascara and eye makeup for the first day.
- !Skip swimming, saunas, and hot yoga.
- !Sleep on your back if possible to avoid pressing the curl flat.
Ongoing Lift Care
Simple habits to keep your curl looking lifted and your natural lashes healthy.
Be gentle when cleansing
Wash your face normally, but avoid rubbing the eye area aggressively. Pat dry instead of rubbing with a towel.
Skip waterproof mascara
If you want to wear mascara after the first 24 hours, use a water-based, tubing formula. Waterproof mascara requires harsh removers that can relax the lift.
Condition your lashes
A lash serum or castor oil applied at night can keep your natural lashes nourished and healthy between treatments.
Avoid lash curlers
The lift already gives your lashes a natural curl — mechanical curlers can damage or over-bend them.
If You Added Tint
Tint adds depth and definition. These extra tips help the color last.
Avoid oil-based removers
Oil breaks down tint faster. Use micellar water or an oil-free cleanser around the eyes.
Protect from UV
Sun exposure fades tint over time. Sunglasses help preserve the color longer.
No exfoliants near eyes
Keep retinol, AHAs, and scrubs away from the lash line for a few days after tinting.
Things to Avoid
- !Getting lashes wet for the first 24 hours
- !Waterproof mascara (requires harsh removers)
- !Mechanical lash curlers
- !Oil-based products near the eyes
- !Rubbing or touching the eye area
- !Steam, saunas, or hot yoga for 48 hours
